I have used this scanner for scanning the UPC codes on beer packages on site in retail accounts. The initial setup was a little difficult. I gave it the ole’ college try and had to basically teach myself the ASCII language to program the scanner, which in the end was interesting at the least. I had several questions about the setup so I decided to call Wasp. The experience with the customer support, although friendly, was not very useful. The customer service agent flat out told me “I don’t know” to my questions. Defiantly not something you want to hear! If you don’t know then who will? In the end I took the initiative and made this scanner do what I needed it to do. I would recommend this product to anyone in the market for one. The battery life is great. It is very light weight and ergonomical. Be prepared for somewhat of a learning curve with ASCII.

Easy setup for portable satellite service
The Carryout is a great solution for portable satellite service. We are using it for our 5th wheel RV. Instead of setting up a pole and manually aiming a Dish 500, I connect the 12v cable and the coax cable, set it on the ground in a resonably level spot,and the carryout does the rest. It will only look at 1 satellite at a time, so is really only suited for a single receiver box. We use Dish network, and on initially getting it out of the box, I had to set a dip switch inside the dome for Dish network. It will automatically find the satellites at 110, 119, and 129 locations. This means it is also suited for HD service from Dish network. When changing channels that requires a different satellite, it only takes about 5 seconds to make the switch.
It saves a lot of time in setup, and saves some storage space as well. Works great, and I highly recommend it.
Excellent reception, easy to set up and use.
The first trip with the Carryout made me a believer. Just follow the instructions to the tee and in about 10 minutes you are watching your satellite TV. Seamlessly switches between satellites as you change channels with only about a second of delay.
Even in a marginal area I was able to get it to tune in with just a couple of position changes.
I really love this thing!!
If you’re tired of yelling to your wife, “Do I have a signal yet?” and seemingly twist and turn the dish for hours to get a good signal this is worth saving your money for. Place it, connect it turn on the receiver, power up the unit and do a switch test. Within 10 minutes your inside watching TV.
Love the Winegard
This dish works great. Just plug it in and boom!!! you get all of your satellite signals with no hassel. When you change from one satellite to the other it is seamless. I do however have a slight problem with the power cord not making a good connection. Most everytime I connect the power cord I have to wiggle the connector to get a connection. It is not a big problem and the satellite dish has worked everytime. Set up is easy and quick. I would recommend this product to all of my friends!!!

Great network-capable color laser printer with duplex
I purchased this printer earlier this week to replace an HP 2600n that had failed. The software installed without issues on four computers, which run either Windows Vista or Windows XP operating systems. No problem printing on any (or all) of the computers. Printer prints both color and B&W very quickly. Duplex printing option works great. Prints are high quality.
The only issues to date include:
1. Installation software offered either default or custom installation options. Even though I chose the custom option, the software gave me no choices for installation, and everything was installed on all four computers. I had to call customer support to then uninstall unnecessary software on three of the computers.
2. HP defaults this printer to the setting: Stop at out. This setting stops the printer from printing when a print cartridge has reached the end of its estimated life. I’ve found that a print cartridge has several hundred usable pages of life left when this setting is reached. You can override this setting by setting: Override out.
Never go back to Inkjet!
What a fantastic printer! After spending a small fortune over the past 6 years with two top-of-the-line Epson Photostylus inkjet printers, I’d had enough when my R1800 started chewing through 50% of the 6 ink cartridges it has just trying to get the nozzles cleaned….all at $14/cartridge. So I did a little research and found the CP2025dn brand-new from HP. What a joy!
I just hung it off the home router with its network interface and leave it on 24 hours a day. It goes into sleep mode (from which it only draws a couple of watts of power) yet it immediately wakes up begins printing within about 20 seconds. AND it doesn’t clink and clang and make all kinds of fuss: it just prints! This is in what I would call an medium intensity home office or very intense personal use. Four people are using it, 3 from windows, 1 mac and everyone loves it. Using the HP glossy laserjet photopaper it even produces decent pics – not near what an R1800 would do BUT at a fraction of the cost, about 50x as fast, they’re totally waterproof, and the quality is easily good enough for a school project, to mail pics to relatives, photobooks etc. But that’s not the main thing it will be used for with prints from CVS and others only costing 10 or 15 cents for a 4×6.
Being that the inkjets seem like nothing but cash-cows for the printer manufacturers and the outrageously small number of pages that one gets out of a set of cartridges and the fact that the vast majority of printing is not for photos anyway – but day-to-day text/graphic use, laserjets seem the only way to go. From that perspective, this feels like the best money I’ve ever spent on a printer and I HIGHLY recommend it – you won’t be sorry.
Still Searching
Do yourself a favor and bring a laptop into a retail store and test the printer before buying. Make sure you download the driver to your laptop first. After all the glowing reviews, I thought I finally found a color laser for my small business. Duplexing and color are both important for me. And speed. I tested the 2025DN with a Macbook and it recognized it quickly. But to do duplex, you need to download the driver. For SMALL files, (less than 1GB) it works very well. VERY nice color output. But bring a hammock for larger files! I printed a 7 MB and 16MB pdf file. It was only 2 pages in length: color pictures with text. It took 4 minutes to print one page (with Duplex) and another 2 minutes to print a second copy. Yikes! Considering it comes with 128MB ram, what’s the problem? It’s the processor. The printer trays and components are also very flimsy. HP does have good tech help. All-in-all, for SMALL color files, this printer will work for you. Anything larger, better have a lot time on your hands.

Great Scanner
Great large-format scanner. It’s a work horse–not many frills, but very competent. I use it almost exclusively for document scanning (mostly music), and mostly at 600dpi. While I’ve done some photo scans, I’m not competent to judge their quality, other than that I subjectively like them better than my $100 Canon scanner.
I’d love to see someone compare this scanner to the Epson $2500 model, for performance *and* quality. (For my use, performance at 600dpi is more important than the scanner’s absolute best quality at its max optical dpi.)
PROs: Large format; document good scan quality; Much faster than $100 letter-sized scanners; nice lid (easily removable, flexible positioning); reasonable software bundle.
CONs: Big (probably true of all large format scanners); cooling fan is a bit loud, but does turn off after about 5 minutes of non-use.
So far so good…
Nobody else has reviewed this thing yet so I’ll give it a shot.
I picked up this thing because it was the middleground between the iffy to crappy musteks and the uber high end 2 grad scanners. Since I’ve had good experiences with Epson scanners before this seemed like a safe purchase. This is day one of my owning it: After unpacking it, plugging it in and installing the software…I can safely say it works quite well.
Scans go pretty quickly at default settings but get slower the higher your dpi settings (but this is to be expected, especially if you have large documents).
I will do another review later after do some more scans to see how well it holds up.
Review of Epson GT-20000
Early days but to this point the GT-20000 is giving us exactly what we were looking for. This is a ‘mid-range’ price product – not as cheap as the products one might expect to be ‘inexpensive’ with reviews that suggest adequate but not good quality. Nor is the GT-20000 quite as expensive as the professional range models. Installation and start up were simple and quick – we were soon up and running. We wanted a product which would give good quality scans of large format pages for scrapbooking and this does exactly that although some adjustments were necesaary to scan quality and color. Perfect for the price paid.

Denon AVR990 HD Radio Doesnt work, skips.
3/2010 Denon AVR-990 – Called Denon to complain that after every 10-45 minutes the radio gets stuck and wont play. Have to manually turn receiver off and back on to play the radio every 10 minutes or so. Was told Denon is aware of the issue and reviewing and testing. They have been aware of the issue for months(~8/09). No consideration was offered like we will be glad to inform of the fix, nothing. We also purchased Denon’s expensive blu-ray to go with it and I hate that I am unable to listen to the radio without knowing if I ever will be able to have radio for the next 10 years until I upgrade my home theater again…SUCKS!
Amazing
The best stereo I have ever owned. The quality is simply amazing. The only drawback is the receiver-based navigation for the iPod dock sucks. But other than that, this really is an incredible receiver.
GREAT
I love my denon. I have had no problems with my system, but my surround is seperate from listening to music. I am a denon lover all the way. My surround and stereo systen is all denon and cerwin vega. With this duo you can’t go wrong. I so recommend this receiver. The price here is great compared to denon’s website.
